WHAT: A day of high adventure activities, extreme sports, food, fun and music.
WHERE: Camp Tanah Keeta in Tequesta
WHEN: September 27, 2008 – 10AM to 10PM
WHO: This event is open to all youth, male and female, from high school age to 19 years old. Born before March 28, 1995.
Activities will include:

- Canoeing

- High Ropes Course
- Discover Scuba
- Rifle and Shotgun Shooting

- Skate boarding
- Live Music on the Waterfront

Concessions will be available all day. $10 covers all activities and dinner!
Bring a swim suit, a towel, and if you want, a skateboard. PLEASE NO OPEN TOED SHOES

Hello Scout friends,
Elvin and Randy Porch talked to Jeff we have a go a head for the
“BRING A FRIEND TO CAMP DAY”
I am really excited. I believe that this could be an idea that many other councils can use.
OLD EMAIL SOME CHANGES:
The Venturing open house, that we have done in the past but we have never marketed it very well I want to do it better. So here is my idea. NOT calling it a “Venture Open House”. I am only sending this to a short list of people because Jeff has not given his OK yet. Hopefully, Elvin will talk to him by 06-10-08. Then we still need the blessing of the Venturing Committee and maybe commissioners.
We will call it “BRING A FRIEND TO CAMP DAY” September 27, 2008.
I really mean that. If you want to come to this event, you bring someone (NOT in scouts), I mean scout or scouter bring someone.
WHEN WE DO this event. It must be this way and lots more.
1) It must be marketed 3 times per week at summer camp to kids 13 1/2 or older or 9th graders..
We also MUST get scout Name of scout, Phone, Unit and email. with help from
the scout masters
WE MUST get the scouts, Names, Units, Emails, Phone.
I will make flyers and information as the plans are made
2) It must be called something like “BRING A FRIEND TO CAMP DAY”
3) We need to feed everyone. I am thinking chicken and pig for dinner.
Then sell $1.00 hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch or I can work a deal with Papa Jons Pizza.
4) We need a band. (I have some plans for that my buddy Harry to help)
5) We must have everything open: Climbing wall, canoes, sail boats, power boats,
Rope course, and opstical course, B B guns, 22′s, archery, shot guns, Scuba in the pool,
Rope some crafts, basic life saving, Nature stuff, and much more.
6) It MUST be cheap $10 or $11 , (and if that means we need to get a sponsor then we need
time to do it)
7) It must be FUN all areas open and food and band. We can also invite the
ROTC guys, and other clubs And church group or any teenage groups
.
Let me know if you have any thoughts. When we did this type of event before we NEVER marketed it very well. This must be better. I am thinking more then 500 people. Event time 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
